Birthday Babies??

7am temp: 99.1 (hmmmmm again)

Today is my husband's birthday. He has said from the day we did the first breeding that Aliy's pups would be born on his birthday.

Why is he so convinced?

He says it's because "everyone is born on his birthday." And, in his family, he is right. He has a younger brother, a niece and a cousin or two all born on June 18. So it would be fitting for Aliy to have her pups today, wouldn't it?

But will she?

So far no BIG temperature drop. Yes, this morning it's the lowest it's been, and I did check it twice (poor Aliy!) to make sure it was not wrong. Occasionaly I guess there is a dog who does not experience the Big Drop we've been looking for. In fact, I heard from a friend who owns Aliy's half sister...she just had pups a couple months ago and there was no huge termperature drop beforehand, just a few degrees drop a few hours before the first pup came.

Something jsut seems "different" about Aliy this morning. I'd been waiting for the Big Drop before putting bedding down in the box, but I think if you check the Aliy-Cam in a few hours you may see bedding in the box. Just to be on the safe side.
